This week on Dezeen, we published visuals of a rippling performing arts centre currently under construction in Abu Dhabi, designed by the architect Frank Gehry before his death.

Named Dar al Funoon Abu Dhabi, the theatre complex will emulate swathes of flowing fabric on a site close to Gehry's Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, which is nearing completion on Saadiyat Island.

In other architecture news, Snøhetta hit the headlines after revealing two of its latest building proposals.

This included its plan to transform Alvar Aalto's iconic Paimio Sanatorium in Finland into a hotel, and its designs for a mesh-covered office building in the Miami Design District.

We brought our Gaudí Centenary series to an end with a look at Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí​'s lesser-known gothic buildings, such as the Episcopal Palace in Astorga.

The series, which marked 100 years since the renowned architect's death, also ended with a video produced by Dezeen Studio to explore what makes his style so unique.

In Paris, the cave-line interior of the inflatable La Caverne du Pont Neuf installation by JR was finally revealed, after wind damage delayed its opening earlier this month.

Another installation that attracted attention in the city was a 37-metre-wide wave, which formed the set for Louis Vuitton's Spring Summer 2027 menswear show during Paris fashion week.

Projects that turned readers' heads this week included Longhouse Farm, which Bastiaan Jongerius Architecten cloaked in black timber and metal, a fence-like tower by Rana Begum and Webb Yates, installed as part of the London Festival of Architecture and a century-old Melbourne corner shop transformed into a house.
