vauxhall’s corsa GSE vision car has fabrics that illuminate when it detects nearing vehicles
Vauxhall unveils Corsa GSE Vision gran turismo concept car
Vauxhall releases the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, an electric concept vehicle with interior fabrics that illuminate as soon as it detects nearing vehicles. Set to debut at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich on September 8th, 2025, the company also expects to launch the concept car in the Gran Turismo 7 video game in the autumn of 2025 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 gamers. Stepping inside the vehicle, the driver immediately sees the single seat suspended from the roof structure. It comes with black and yellow fabrics, and the six-point seatbelts connect it to the roll cage. The rectangular-shaped steering wheel is in direct view of both the driver and the head-up display.
On the dashboard and the door inserts lie the illuminating fabrics. There are embedded sensors under it, and once the Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision concept car detects the nearing vehicles outside, these parts of the interior rhythmically light up to alert the driver to their potential blind spots. The see-through fabrics on the dashboard can also project animations, making them multipurpose enough. The dubbed ‘painting with light’ system by Vauxhall isn’t new, as it first appeared in the car manufacturer’s 2023 Experimental Concept car.

lighting bars wrap around the exterior of the electric vehicle
Going out of the Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision concept car, the front section uses the Vauxhall Vizor design with the Griffin emblem at the center. The emblem also illuminates and positions within the Vauxhall Compass design pattern. On the sides of the vehicle, the lighting bars extend horizontally from the emblem to three-dimensional glass blocks, with the lights wrapping around the car manufacturer’s Griffin emblem on the vertical axis.
Then, there’s also a center crease that runs from the front bumper through the bonnet. The rear section applies the same Compass design pattern, with the edge-lighting technology creating the brake light signature. Here, the VAUXHALL lettering spans across the rear section. The rear taillamp connects with the rear window in one piece, and the aero skirts are positioned in front of the front and rear bumpers.

The wheels use an aerodynamic design with a three-spoke pattern based on previous Vauxhall performance models. Black aero wheel arch extensions direct airflow for stability at high speeds. The turn indicators hide within the front and rear bumpers as flush edge lights, while the triangular elements from Vauxhall motorsport history appear on the wheel structures, the roof spoiler, and the roll cage components.
Specs-wise, the Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision concept car uses two electric motors that produce 476 hp each. The total output reaches 800 hp and 800 Nm of torque, and the car accelerates from zero to 62mph in 2.0 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 199mph. The vehicle weighs 1,170kg and uses an 82 kWh battery pack. At the present time, the concept vehicle is set to appear in the Gran Turismo 7 video game as a Vision Gran Turismo vehicle as well as at the Gran Turismo World Series event in Berlin on September 20th after its IAA Mobility 2025 Munich premiere.
