Dezeen Showroom: modernist style and high levels of comfort combine in the Vipp453 Swivel chair, created by Danish brand Vipp for both conference rooms and home offices.
The Vipp453 Swivel chair is defined by its architectural silhouette, created by an aluminium frame that wraps fluidly from the arms around the padded backrest.
The backrest is substantial enough to provide comfort and support over long periods of sitting, while also giving the chair a light, airy appearance thanks to its suspended design.
Part of a line of similar chairs from Vipp, a family-owned company founded in 1939, the Vipp453 Swivel chair adds a four-star base with either castors or gliders and a 360-degree rotation.
Vipp imagines it working well in offices and conference rooms where an elevated aesthetic is desired, as well as in home offices where a bulky task chair would be unwelcome.
The chair is available upholstered in either black, camel or green leather or Dark Sand textile — finishes that continue the refined, mid-century look.
