gaggenau’s installation ‘presence’ at villa necchi campiglio during milan design week 2026
GAGGENAU AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026
During Milan Design Week 2026, Gaggenau celebrates ‘Presence’ — a refined architectural installation set within the historic grounds of Villa Necchi Campiglio. Marking the third chapter following A Statement of Form (2022) and The Elevation of Gravity (2024), the installation draws visitors inward from the outside, sharpening perception and quieting distraction through a sequence of spaces shaped by light, material, and proportion, inviting them to experience the brand without explanation.

A COLLABORATION WITH 1ZU33
The installation is the result of a long-standing collaboration between Gaggenau and architectural firm 1zu33. Working in close dialogue, the project reflects a shared approach grounded in precision, materiality, and proportion — shaping a spatial experience defined by clarity and restraint.

INTEGRATION OF ARCHITECTURE, APPLIANCES AND CULINARY CRAFT
‘Presence’ unfolds through a sequence of spaces rather than a static display, where appliances are integrated as intentional focal points within the architecture. A collaboration with three-Michelin-star chef Tohru Nakamura complements the spatial experience through a restrained culinary layer.
Through light, material, and proportion, each element is reduced to what is essential — allowing it to be encountered with clarity, individually and as part of the overall composition.
