Miro side table by Candour Antwerp

Dezeen Showroom: design brand Candour Antwerp has released an object comprising three stainless steel components that can be used separately as a mirror and vase, or together as a side table.
The Miro side table is made up of a hollow cylinder with a circular hole on either side, and a circular tabletop, polished to a mirror-like finish. A smaller cylinder can be slotted through to join the two parts together.
Candour's founder, designer Julie Machielsen, chose one consistent material for the piece, aiming to give it a cohesive and uniform aesthetic, despite its three different possible functions.
According to the brand, its minimal appearance also allows the quality of its artisanal craftsmanship to "take centre stage".
"As humans, we often feel the urge to change — our lives, our appearance, our surroundings. Miro embraces this desire for transformation," said Candour Antwerp.
"Designed to adapt to the ever-evolving needs of its user, Miro offers versatility. One day, it serves as a side table to hold your favourite books and a cup of coffee, the next, it separates into two standalone objects: a mirror and a vase."
