Yinka Ilori picked his favourite pieces from the collection

The 40-piece collection, which is Ilori's first full furniture and homeware range for a major retailer, contains chairs, tables, lamps and numerous soft furnishings.

Speaking to Dezeen ahead of the launch, the designer said that the collection was informed by 1960s and '70s nostalgia. He also drew attention to the pricing, which makes many of the pieces very affordable.

"You've known my work for a number of years, and I've always been quite vocal about accessibility across placemaking, design and fashion – whatever it is," he said.

"For me, it's about designing objects that are accessible and inclusive, but also really celebrate people and the differences in what they're experiencing," he added.

Read on for Ilori's top four picks from the collection:

Half Moon Sofa and Armchair

"One of the finest pieces in the collection is this Half Moon Sofa (top, armchair above). I really just love the way this sofa holds in your body and makes feel – there's also this kind of chunkiness to it.

"It's very reminiscent of the 70s and how sofas were designed around that time. But I just love the kind of openness and the warmth I get from this sofa."

Calabash Table Lamp

Calabash Table Lamp

"This Calabash Table Lamp is a nice little piece inspired by the calabash, which you might have seen in Nigeria or West Africa.

"It has a nice silhouette and shape that references my West African roots – I've used this same sort of silhouette and symbol in a number of my projects, but it's actually nice to have it as a light piece.

"It's a really nice, playful addition to the collection."

"This is a very playful and communal piece in the collection, which was also inspired by 70s furniture – the shape, silhouettes and playfulness.

"It's a nice one for having around the table. I think it's going to be quite a popular piece and I love it."

Biscuit Pine Side Table

"This table is also one of my favourite pieces. I love the array of colours it comes in –orange, pink and natural.

"It just feels very playful. You can use it as a stool or to put your drinks on – your tea. It's just a nice addition to the room and I love this kind of biscuit joint around the edges of the table."
