Rise A armchair by Parla
Dezeen Showroom: rounded forms and slender outlines make up Turkish furniture brand Parla's Rise A armchair, the product of synergy between designer and maker.
The Rise A armchair is designed for comfort and versatility, with a construction that is suitable for both indoors and outdoors and plush cushioning that lets sitters sink into deep rest.
The chair was created by in-house designer Tuğçe Yakup, who Parla explained gets inspiration from spending time in the workshop and getting involved in production processes to see how they can be challenged and extended.
For Rise A, with its composition of rounded shapes, she worked closely with metal craftsman İbrahim Yesilyurt, who is said to work with a unique metal-bending machine that he never allows anyone else to use.
"This product is therefore a testament to the special bonds that form between designs and their makers throughout the production process," said Parla.
A 2026 iF Design Award winner, the Rise A armchair is available in a wide choice of RAL colours and textiles.
